Platypus GravityWorks Water Filter

The manual cranking of the pump, the hunched over posture, being a sitting duck for that cloud of mosquitoes moving ever closer. Pumping water is a pain.

Luckily, you can use gravity to clean your water. This system uses two, four liter platypus reservoirs, one which holds the dirty water to be cleaned, and one for the clean drinking water. The dirty water reservoir just needs to be hung above the clean water reservoir for gravity to take over and do the work for you.

A hollow fiber filter keeps water flowing at 1.75 liters per minute, faster than many hand-crank pumps. You can be drinking your four liters of clean water within two-and-a-half minutes. The filter physically eliminates particles, protozoa, and bacteria down to 0.2 microns, which includes giardia, salmonella, and cryptosporidia.

The Platypus GravityWorks filters is compatible with Platypus Bottles, Water Tanks, and Big Zip SL reservoirs.
