Dog River

We hit the trail just befor 10:00 Saturday morning, having driving to the Dog River trailhead via I-84/Hood River.  It was a very pleasant hike, trending gradually uphill to the Surveyor Ridge trail just off forest service road 44.  The trail was in excellent shape start to finish.  We saw no other hikers on the trail over the course of the day, although we were passed by numerous mountain bikers.  Several good views of Mt. Hood added to our enjoyment of the day.
